Since 2007, Team 2200 – BCR Blackout has been inspiring youth in Burlington and beyond through the excitement of competitive robotics. As part of the global FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), our students work alongside industry mentors to design, build, and program 120-pound robots capable of performing complex game tasks—all under tight time constraints and with real-world engineering challenges.
What started as a small team with big dreams has grown into one of Canada’s most respected and accomplished FRC teams. Over the years, we’ve built a legacy of innovation, resilience, and competitive excellence, consistently ranking among the top teams in Ontario and making regular appearances at the FIRST World Championship. Our team is known for creative engineering, a bold visual identity, and a strong culture of mentorship that encourages students to push boundaries while having fun.
